Zendaya look-alike competition to be held in Oakland, hometown of movie star
(KRON) — There is an ongoing search in the Bay Area to find a look-alike of movie star and Oakland native Zendaya. According to a photo of a flier posted on Reddit, there is a Zendaya look-alike competition happening this week.
The competition will take place 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Wilma Chan Park in Oakland. Prizes include a $40 cash prize and Carol’s Daughter Shampoo & Conditioner.
A QR code was posted on the flier, which directs users to a Partiful event page of the event. As of Sunday night, one person is confirmed to attend the event and three are listed as a maybe, according to the Partiful event page.
The event is being held in Zendaya’s hometown where she attended Oakland School for the Arts. The acclaimed actress is known to give back to her community. In February, she donated $100,000 to an East Bay theater.

The Zendaya competition is not the first celebrity-look-alike contest to be held in the Bay Area. Earlier this month, a contest in San Francisco’s Dolores Park was held to see who resembles actor Dev Patel the most. Hundreds of spectators reportedly attended the event.
In New York City, a similar contest was held for actor Timothée Chalamet, and the event drew thousands of contestants and spectators. Chalamet even made an appearance himself.
Will Zendaya be there for Oakland? Looks like you’ll have to attend the event to find out.
