Designated Survivor: Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10 p.m. on ABC
After doing a bang-up job protecting the president for multiple seasons on 24, Keifer Sutherland gets elevated to the Oval Office himself when a terrorist attack leaves him next in the line of succession. Let’s hope he models his administration more on David Palmer than Charles Logan.

Van Helsing: Friday, Sept. 23 at 10 p.m. on Syfy
Living in a post-apocalyptic world is difficult enough. A post-apocalyptic world with vampires in it? That truly sucks. Good thing that Abraham Van Helsing’s descendent, Vanessa Helsing, is on hand to stake ‘em for us.
