Young Sheldon Cast Members Who Did — and Didn’t — Come Back For Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is the third in The Big Bang Theory franchise, and is a sequel to and spin-off of Young Sheldon. The series focuses on young parents Georgie Cooper (Montana Jordan) and Mandy McAllister (Emily Osment) who got married in Season 7 of Young Sheldon. The new spinoff takes place three months after the events of the Young Sheldon finale. Former Young Sheldon cast members Zoe Perry (Mary), Raegan Revord (Missy), Annie Potts (Meemaw) and Craig T. Nelson (Dale) will be guest stars on Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. Iain Armitage (Sheldon) does not appear in the series.

Montana Jordan as Georgie Cooper
Montana Jordan played Sheldon’s brother George “Georgie” Cooper Jr. in Young Sheldon — and that was the actor’s first big role. His only other acting credit is The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter (released in 2018), starring Josh Brolin, Carrie Coon, Scoot McNairy, and Danny McBride.
Jordan told the New York Post, “We all know the storyline is that Georgie gets married a couple times, but whether it’s with Mandy the next couple times, we don’t know. We’ll have to watch and find out. They might switch everything up on us. It’s a mystery to me too, I’m not too sure what they have in store.”
Emily Osment as Mandy McAllister
Emily Osment played Amanda Elizabeth “Mandy” McAllister in Seasons 5, 6, and 7 of Young Sheldon. Osment is best known for playing Lilly on Hannah Montana, alongside Miley Cyrus, on the Disney Channel. She went on to star in the television film Cyberbully in 2011 and the Freeform TV series Young & Hungry (2014-2018). She had a recurring role in Netflix’s The Kominsky Method and starred as Chelsea on the Netflix sitcom Pretty Smart (2021).
In a March 2024 Instagram post, Osment shared the news of the new spin-off series. “So thrilled to finally be able to celebrate this wonderful news I share with the best fake husband a girl could ask for @montanajordan,” she wrote. “Huge thank you to our Steves and our Chuck for putting their faith in us as well as my whole team for working tirelessly to make my everlasting multicam dreams come true. Stick around y’all, the story continues…”
Will Sasso as Jim McAllister
Will Sasso is best known for starring in five seasons of the sketch comedy show Mad TV from 1997 to 2002 and for playing Curly in the 2012 film The Three Stooges. He’s also had TV roles in Less Than Perfect (2003-2006), Mom (2013-2021), How I Met Your Mother (2008–2012), and Loudermilk (2017-2020). Sasso played Jim McAllister in a recurring role on Young Sheldon Season 6 and Season 7. Jim owns a local tire shop and is Mandy McAllister’s father and Audrey McAllister’s husband.

Rachel Bay Jones as Audrey McAllister
Rachel Bay Jones was one of the original cast members of the 2013 Broadway revival of Pippin and played Heidi Hansen, Evan’s mom, in the original cast of Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway. Her TV credits include roles in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Modern Family, Grey’s Anatomy, Why Women Kill, and The Good Doctor. She played Audrey McAllister in a recurring role on Young Sheldon Season 6 and Season 7. Audrey is Mandy’s mother and is married to Jim.
Dougie Baldwin as Connor McAllister
Australian actor Dougie Baldwin is best known for his role in the Netflix series Disjointed. His first roles were in the Australian television series Nowhere Boys and Upper Middle Bogan. Connor is Mandy’s younger brother, a talented artist and introvert. In an October 16 Instagram Story, Baldwin expressed his excitement over the series premiere. “I’m so excited. I can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve been working on – it’s so cool,” he said. “I’m on a family sitcom… a really good one. And I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
Jessie Prez as Ruben
Jessie Prez is best known for his role as Sal Magluta in Griselda. He has been in many TV shows, including playing the role of Pete in 9-1-1: Lone Star and Doc on Chicago Fire. He’s also appeared in Shameless, Bosch: Legacy, The Rookie: Feds, and Abbott Elementary.
