WATCH: William Shatner in NE Ohio for auction
HARTVILLE, Ohio (WJW) — Legendary actor William Shatner was back in Northeast Ohio Wednesday to auction off hundreds of items from his personal wardrobe with a portion of the proceeds benefiting charity (as seen in the video above).

Shatner, 93, — who is perhaps best known for his role as Captain Kirk in the “Star Trek” series — was getting rid of about 500 items including “bespoke apparel worn by Shatner on set and at movie and television premieres; name brands like Armani, Brioni, Gucci, and Dolce & Gabbana; and custom sports jerseys featuring ‘Shatner’ on the back,” according to KIKO Auctions.
A preview of the items started at 11 a.m. at The Hartville MarketPlace, followed by the in-person and online auction.
Shatner was on hand rocking out in a big rocking chair overseeing the event.

“Auctions are a great avenue for unique items and memorabilia, and we are excited to offer this luxury collection to Shatner fans worldwide,” said KIKO auctioneer Jeff Kiko prior to the event. “There are many premium brands – Armani suits, Burberry jackets, Ferragamo shoes, shirts, ties, and more – for bidders to see live at the Hartville MarketPlace.”
This isn’t the “Boston Legal” actor’s first appearance at the Hartville MarketPlace. In April, he took part in a toy and comic show where he signed autographs for $149 or a photo for the same price.
