Here’s why Scotty McCreery stopped his show at the Colorado State Fair

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Country music artist and former “American Idol” winner Scotty McCreery briefly stopped his concert at the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo on Saturday evening, Aug. 24 after a man in the crowd allegedly assaulted a woman.
According to Olga Robak, the Director of Communications and Public Awareness for the Colorado Department of Agriculture, security with the Colorado State Fair assisted with crowd control after the incident.
“This incident is still under investigation and we cannot comment further,” wrote Robak.
Robak said that anyone who has video or other images of the incident is encouraged to share them with Colorado State Fair Security at [email protected].
According to the State Fair website, the Scotty McCreery concert took place at the Big R Arena and began at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
