Before hitting the road with Phish for a limited run of shows this spring, Trey Anastasio will embark on his solo tour across the United States over the next few months. The singer-songwriter’s multi-city schedule kicks off on March 8 in Springfield, Massachusetts, and sees Anastasio playing cities like Columbus, Ohio, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Washington, D.C. Tickets to Anastasio’s acoustic tour are largely sold out on his website, though fans can still find stubs available at select retailers online.

“I learned that if a song is a good song, it always works solo acoustic,” Anastasio told Rolling Stone in a 2024 interview. “And many producers have tried to tell me that since I started 40 years ago. I did a record with Brendan O’Brien, for example, and he said, ‘Sit on a stool and play me the songs. We’re not going into the studio until you have a song that you can sing me with an acoustic guitar.’”

Anastasio’s solo run arrives nearly a year after Phish headlined a sold-out run of dates at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The band dropped their most recent studio album, Evolve, in July. Last fall, Anastasio performed as part of Robbie Robertson’s tribute concert at the Forum in Los Angeles. “In the style of music that I play, the Band is the foundation — I grew up listening to this music and it’s the high water mark,” Anastasio told us at the time.
