'Wheel of Fortune' host Pat Sajak speaks out after health scare: 'The worst has passed'
Pat Sajak is on the mend after last week's emergency surgery. The iconic game show host tweeted Monday that he's "so grateful for all the good wishes during my recent illness," adding, "the worst has passed." Sajak, 73, assured fans he'll return to Wheel of Fortune soon, unless Vanna White "has completely taken over."
On Friday, it was announced that Sajak successfully underwent surgery "to correct a blocked intestine." Taping was canceled one day prior.
I’m so grateful for all the good wishes during my recent illness. Happy to say that the worst has passed, and I’ll be out of the hospital in a day of two, then back to work (unless @TheVannaWhite has completely taken over!)
