Watch Maddie Realize Chimney’s a Runaway Groom on '9-1-1' (Exclusive)
9-1-1
There’s a runaway groom on Maddie’s (Jennifer Love Hewitt) hands as Chimney (Kenneth Choi) is a no-show at the couple’s wedding ceremony.
In an exclusive clip of tomorrow’s episode of 9-1-1 shared with Parade, Buck (Oliver Stark) and Eddie (Ryan Guzman) show up disheveled, dirty and covered in vomit to inform an already-panicked Maddie that Chim has disappeared. The promo teaser for the Season 7 episode, titled “There Goes The Groom,” sees the entire 118 spring into action to save the long-anticipated nuptials.

“I think somewhere in my heart, in my mind, I knew it was not going to be smooth sailing, given the fact that we're on 9-1-1,” Hewitt said of the episode in an interview. “That would make no sense—that would freak people out more than what would actually happen—if it was just a normal thing, and the people would be like, 'Well, that was not fun at all, so thanks a lot.'”
The minute-and-a-half-long preview clip opens the episode as Maddie paces in her wedding dress, her parents trying to calm her down and sort out why Chimney and the groom’s party is more than half an hour late to the festivities. Hen (Aisha Hinds) encounters the hot mess that is Buck and Eddie, both of whom are sporting bachelor-party-induced hangover couture and are hesitant to inform everyone that they can’t locate Chim.
“It’s complicated,” Buck tells Maddie when she asks where her husband-to-be is, closing out the clip.
“There Goes The Groom” airs Thursday, May 2 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, with next-day viewing on Hulu.
