Actor and musician Jason Schwartzman chatted with Billboard at Sundance 2015 about going nude in his new comedy film The Overnight, working on a new album with his band Coconut Records, the strangest thing he’s purchased on Amazon, and much more.

Schwartzman, who attended Sundance to promote his new movie The Overnight, hilariously shared the story behind a full-frontal nude scene with co-star Adam Scott.
“Yes, I am nude in the movie and so is Adam Scott,” Schwartzman tells Billboard. “The thing is, we were wearing prosthetics. All day long before the nude scene I was like, ‘I don’t want to do this, I don’t want to do this.’ And then like 10 minutes afterwards you couldn’t get me to put on a robe.”
Schwartzman says he’s also working on a new album with Coconut Records. “I’ve put out music under this band named Coconut Records,” he says. “And I’ve put out two records. Right now I’m just writing another record and hopefully gonna be making something soon.
The actor also stars in the Amazon show Mozart in the Jungle, about the classical music scene in New York. So what’s the craziest thing Schwartzman’s ever bought on the site?
“A kazoo that you can plug into an amplifier,” he says. “It’s a kazoo with a pickup in it.”
