Warrior Canceled at Max After 3 Seasons, Netflix to Stream Series
According to Deadline, Max has officially decided not to renew the martials drama Warrior for a fourth season. The cancellation comes after four months since the Andrew Koji-led series had wrapped up its 10-episode third season.
In addition, it has also been confirmed that Netflix has officially acquired the non-exclusive streaming rights to all three seasons of Warrior, which is expected to debut in February 2024. The outlet notes that there’s a possibility that the streamer might also greenlight the fourth season of the series depending on its viewership performance on the streamer.
Who was involved in Warrior?
Based on the writings of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, the gritty, action-packed crime drama was created and executive produced by Jonathan Tropper. The story was set during the brutal Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the late 19th century. It follows Ah Sahm, a martial arts prodigy who emigrates from China to San Francisco under mysterious circumstances.
The series starred Andrew Koji, Kieran Bew, Celine Buckens, Olivia Cheng, Dianne Doan, Dean Jagger, Langley Kirkwood, Maria-Elena Laas, Hoon Lee, Christian McKay, Dustin Nguyen, Miranda Raison, Chen Tang, Joe Taslim, Jason Tobin, Joanna Vanderham, Tom Weston-Jones, and Perry Yung.
