Two Treasure Coast restaurants land spot on Yelp’s 'Top 100 Florida Restaurants 2022'
In its inaugural guide for Florida foodies, there are two Treasure Coast restaurants Yelp declared among the best statewide.
Bomboloni Bakery-Cafe in Jensen Beach and Fire & Wine in Vero Beach clinched a spot on this year's "Top 100 Florida Restaurants," ranked 20th and 61st, respectively, according to the crowdsourced review site.
Yelp used multiple factors to determine its rankings, including the total volume and ratings of reviews between January 1, 2017, and April 13, 2022, but also sought to showcase the diversity of cuisines found throughout Florida — such as Cuban, Korean, Ethiopian and Lebanese fare.

Bomboloni Bakery-Cafe
The Jensen Beach restaurant serves coffee, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, soups, salads and authentic Italian-Hungarian meals.
As its name suggests, the bakery specializes in bomboloni — the Italian word for doughnuts — and the cronut, or croissant-doughnut.
Bomboloni Bakery-Cafe touts a five-star rating on Yelp, backed by over 150 diner reviews.
"Absolutely delicious Italian cafe," Yelp user Paola T., of Port St. Lucie, wrote in December. "Everything is baked in house, with the owner who is the baker, baking overnight."
Owner and head baker Giovanni Tenger starts his day at the bakery at midnight, the family told TCPalm in June 2020, trading off with his wife, Henriette Grosz-Tenger, throughout the early-morning hours until the bakery opens for business.

Fire & Wine
This Vero Beach restaurant is considered a hidden gem of the community, at the east end of the Winn-Dixie shopping plaza at Oslo Road and 27th Avenue.
It may not look like much from the outside, but diners will be impressed by the upscale American dinners served.
Menu options include sautéed escargot over an “egg in the nest” with a farm egg, artichoke, prosciutto, tomato and parsley vinaigrette; mango- and orange-crusted Faroe Island salmon with tropical barbecue black beans, grilled asparagus and cilantro-lime vinaigrette; and pork ribeye saltimbocca with prosciutto, basil, gruyere, parsnip puree, garlic roasted broccoli and marsala sauce.
Fire & Wine also boasts a five-star Yelp review and over 150 reviews.
"I'm speechless!" wrote Joseph P., of Vero Beach, in February. "Right here in little Vero Beach, off the beaten path, in an inconspicuous strip mall, southwest of town, possibly the best restaurant in the county."
