‘The Traitors’ recap: Alan Cumming reads Tom Sandoval for filth as the Seer looms
Previously on The Traitors Season 3, alum Parvati Shallow and Kate Chastain hosted a chess-themed mission that exposed Carolyn Wiger in a new way. Not only was she out-maneuvered by Danielle Reyes, but Dylan Efron slyly caught on that Carolyn knew more about the challenge than she would have if she was a true Faithful. At the Round Table, Danielle finally accomplished her goal of ousting Carolyn and making room to recruit her bestie Britney Haynes to join her in the turret. We left off with Britney meeting Danielle face to face in the dungeon, about to make a game-altering decision.

"I just feel nothing but happiness and excitement to murder tonight" — Britney Haynes
Faced with the impossible choice to either join Danielle as a Traitor or be murdered on the spot, Britney was "forced" to accept the offer and join Danielle on the dark side. Britney says that she'd been suspicious of Danielle for a while because she had "obviously been protecting" her for a "long time" and though she was hesitant to the idea of being recruited, she was committed and "re-energized" to win alongside her friend. With someone she can trust working with her for the first time, Danielle was able to get valuable information to help decide who they should kill. Britney disclosed that both Tom and Gabby are on to her and that's why Gabby voted with Carolyn against Danielle. Because they both felt like Dylan and Dolores trust them each equally and fully, they narrowed their murder options down to Tom, Gabby and Ivar.
In the morning, it was revealed when Ivar and Gabby walked in to breakfast that the Traitors made the shocking decision to murder Tom despite all the heat on him. "Ah, Tom. For once you were actually faithful," Alan declared, reading Tom for filth. Ultimately, Britney and Danielle figured that it stops Tom from perpetuating his arguments against Danielle and gives them a leg up in a goal to get Gabby banished next. Before excusing the players from the buffet table, Alan reminded them that the next Round Table would be the last one where a player's identity as a Faithful or Traitor would be revealed and beyond that, it would not be. Alan's twist was that "as the group's power to reveal an identity is taken away, an individual will be given a power greater than [they've] ever seen before."
To set themselves up for success at the Round Table, Danielle got to quick work bringing Dolores and Dylan in closer. She floated to Dolores the theory that it "could be the cutest one... the person that people least expected," aiming directly at Gabby. Dolores acknowledged that Gabby did stick by Carolyn and that she'd be willing to banish her next. Dolores was personally convinced that Danielle is a loyal, true friend and felt committed to going to the end of the game with her. But in other rooms, Ivar wanted Dylan and Gabby wanted Britney to consider the evidence against Danielle.

"I can tell she really wants this... and that is suspicious to me" — Dylan Efron
On the way to the mission where the new power would be put in one person's hands, Danielle and Britney felt certain that they had the votes with Dolores and Dylan to secure Gabby as the next banished. But when Alan revealed the power of The Seer to the group, they got the first hint that their strength in numbers may be less secure than they thought. The Seer would have the opportunity to invite one other player to a private face to face meeting where the chosen player must disclose if they're a Faithful or a Traitor. Everyone immediately recognized the danger of the power because it could potentially only cause more misdirection if a Traitor becomes the Seer.
For the mission, the players revisited past challenges and had the opportunity to collect portions of money for the prize pot. By the end, the player that collected the most amount of money would become the Seer, but Alan was keeping the knowledge of who claimed it to himself until the Round Table. I Over the course of the challenges, both Gabby and Ivar in their conviction about Danielle being a Traitor, pushed their luck at a chance to earn more money and came up short. Desperate to protect her own secret, Danielle tried very hard to claim as much cash as possible, but failed to remember how good Dylan is at recognizing Traitor behavior at challenges potentially harmful to them.
Because of that, Dylan was perhaps more keen to hear out Gabby's arguments against Danielle once they returned to the castle. Gabby pointed out to him that Danielle had cause to murder Jeremy Collins, she seemed to have inside information in her attacks on Carolyn, and then mentioned to him the time she heard activity behind the bookcase and it was Danielle and Carolyn's voices. Not to be outdone, Danielle got to Dylan right after that and learned that the vote was likely between her and Gabby. She did her best to win an Oscar in her reaction to him saying that he's willing to listen to Gabby's points and told him that "it hurts" to think he might turn on her.

"I think if I stand up there, it'll just be another strong woman with a personality being falsely accused" — Gabby Windey
Knowing that without Dylan's vote Danielle's game was on the line, Britney was in a panic to get both Dolores and Ivar to vote against Gabby. When Ivar told her that he's set on voting against Danielle, Britney was faced with the realization that she might not be able to save her and that not voting against her, too, might put her own game at risk. Because of their history on Big Brother, Britney got emotional telling Ivar that there's no way she can vote against Danielle. He reminded her that it's just a game and that Danielle is "playing to win."
At the Round Table, Gabby gave Danielle her flowers for "presenting an amazing case" against Carolyn, but likened it to "very tense" way Bob the Drag Queen and Rob Mariano fought as "Traitor on Traitor." Gabby had support from Ivar and Dylan in that argument, but she didn't need it. When Danielle said that the "girl next door" is a Traitor, Gabby said "that's a personality trait" and reminded the group they were always wrong with those arguments. When Danielle said she voted against Boston Rob twice, Gabby said "so did I." When Danielle said "the murders don't make sense" for her to have committed them, Gabby said "Tom did." When Danielle said Gabby had too many allies in the game, Gabby pointed to Danielle and Britney as having the most loyalty to each other at the table. When Danielle wanted people to believe she doesn't "have the stomach to be a Traitor," Gabby could just say "same." Gabby batted down every defense Danielle wanted to put up and the room was listening.
The only one not hearing Gabby's strong case against Danielle was Dolores who was very up front that she would be voting for Ivar. In the tally, Ivar and Gabby stuck to their votes against Danielle and Dolores stuck to her word against Ivar. Seeing a chance to save herself because of Dolores, Danielle voted for Ivar as well and then Britney followed suit. When Dylan also voted for Danielle, the result was a tie. He explained to Danielle that "evidence is really hard to come by and [he] couldn't ignore it this time."
Because a decision had to be made, Alan gave Ivar and Danielle a final chance to speak to the room. Ivar admittedly didn't have much to say and warned that banishing him will leave probably two Traitors left and would make it hard for the Faithful to win. Danielle appealed directly to Dylan and begged him to not send her out of the game because he'd regret it. Before the revote, Britney caught eyes with Dolores and felt like she was motioning toward Danielle being guilty, but when the votes were revealed Dolores stuck and voted Ivar. Dylan and Gabby also stuck with votes for Danielle.
Britney's jaw dropped when she saw that Dolores did not vote against Danielle, hinting that she may have put her friendship to Danielle in jeopardy by voting to banish her, but whether she did won't be revealed until next time. To be continued...
Next time on Episode 11...
Questions are answered in the finale. Who did Britney vote for? Who becomes the Seer? And which side will win: Faithful or Traitor?
