The trailer for the 'To All The Boys' sequel is heating things up with old (and new!) flames
If you've been waiting to know what happens in the next chapter of Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky's love story, you're in luck.
The trailer for the sequel to Netflix’s romantic comedy "To All The Boys I've Loved Before" was released Thursday, and it reveals the second part of Covey's story has highs and lows.
Viewers fell in love with the first film, the streaming service's adaptation of Jenny Han's YA novel, thanks in part to the onscreen chemistry between the main stars – Kavinksy, a jock with a heart of gold, and Covey, a sweet high school junior with a habit of writing love letters with no intention to send: until someone accidentally does.
When Kavinsky receives a letter, the two make a deal to fake date in order to make his ex-girlfriend jealous. But instead, they end up falling for each other.
In the new trailer, things start off as sweet as we hoped, as Covey (Lana Condor) is seen on a date with Kavinsky (Noah Centineo), who we left in the first film finally declaring their true love for each other.
"This is my first date," she tells him across a dinner table.
"We've gone out on a bunch of dates," he replies.
"Yeah, but... those weren't real," she says.
More romantic scenes pass, from Kavinsky gifting Covey a necklace to a cotton candy-filled carnival date, before things get complicated – another boy comes into Covey's life.

A smiling John Ambrose McClaren (Jordan Fisher) greets Covey, potentially putting her and Kavinsky's relationship in jeopardy.
Fans of the first film will remember that McClaren was another boy, in addition to Kavinsky, that Covey wrote a secret love letter to that was accidentally shipped out.
"I'm gonna need that letter back," Covey tells McClaren.
"I need proof that someone actually liked me in middle school," he replies.
"Everyone liked you in middle school," she says.
"I didn't really care about everyone," he quips.
"To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You" is set to hit Netflix on Feb. 12.
