Tom Cruise, James Corden have a Risky Business venture on 'Tom's Cruise'
If all else fails, Tom Cruise can always get into the cruise line business. Thanks to James Corden, he already has a marketable name.
One day after appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the star of The Mummy popped up on the London episodes of The Late Late Show and featured in a bit called “Tom’s Cruise.” Cruise and Corden attempt to start a new business venture with this themed attraction on the River Thames dedicated to the actor’s movie career. It’s got the “Mission: Impossible Room,” the adults-only “Eyes Wide Shut Room,” a “Risky Business Contest,” and a “You Can’t Handle the Booth.”
Though initially hesitant, Cruise found a new purpose in this sketch, dazzling passengers with his bartending skills (courtesy of Cocktail) and shouting lines like, “Show me the money!” Meanwhile, his instant success puts a wedge between him and Corden, who’s sulking in The Corden’d Off Area.
That’s when Cruise, sporting some Top Gun fashion, realized, “There’s no Maverick without Goose.”

The Late Late Show typically shoots in Los Angeles, but Corden explained it’s important to continue their plan to film his variety show in the U.K. despite the terrorist attacks in London and Manchester. “I’m so proud to be broadcasting here from my hometown. I’m proud to show off its beauty, its diversity, and its stoic British determination to let nothing or anybody stand in our way. This is not a country that feels afraid,” he said.
Cruise joins a roster of guests that have appeared this week, including Ed Sheeran, Nicole Kidman, and Kit Harington.
