Prime Video sets premiere date for étoile
étoile, the latest venture from legendary TV producers Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, is coming to Prime Video on April 24. The French word for "star," étoile (pronounced "ey-twal") is an eight-episode dance dramedy that's set in both New York and Paris. The plot follows two ballet companies that swap artists in order to survive. The cast of étoile includes Luke Kirby, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Lou de Laage, Gideon Glick, David Alvarez, Ivan du Pontavice, Ta?s Vinolo, David Haig, Simon Callow, and Yanic Truesdale. This is the third show from the Palladinos after The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Gilmore Girls — and all three will be honored at the upcoming PaleyFest.

The Mid-Century Modern trailer introduces three gay besties
Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, the Emmy-winning creators of Will & Grace, are back with a new TV sitcom centered around three gay besties: Nathan Lane as Bunny Schneiderman, Matt Bomer as Jerry Frank, and Nathan Lee Graham as Arthur Broussard. This light-hearted romp about chosen family takes place after an unexpected death, which prompts the three leads to spend their golden years living together in Palm Springs. The late Linda Lavin also has a role as Sybil Schneiderman, Bunny’s mother. Watch the Mid-Century Modern trailer above before it premieres March 28 on Hulu.
The Last Anniversary is coming soon to AMC+
Mark your calendars for March 30, as that's when the new mystery drama The Last Anniversary will premiere on AMC+. The six-episode limited series is based on Liane Moriarty's New York Times best-selling novel, and comes from the producers of Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers. The Last Anniversary stars Teresa Palmer as Sophie Honeywell, a young woman who uncovers dark family secrets after she inherits property on Scribbly Gum Island. The sprawling supporting cast includes Miranda Richardson, Danielle Macdonald, Claude Scott-Mitchell, Helen Thomson, Uli Latukefu, Susan Prior, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, Xavier Samuel, Angela Punch McGregor, Charlie Garber, Leon Ford, Nikki Shiels, Elizabeth Cullen, Josephine Blazier, and Ines English.
The Pulse trailer sizzles with romance, life-or-death stakes
Netflix is dipping its toes into the medical procedural genre for the first time in the United States. Pulse, created by Zoe Robyn (Hawaii Five-0, The Equalizer), is coming to the streamer on April 3 and focuses on a hurricane that terrorizes Miami's Level 1 Trauma Center. The drama kicks off when third-year resident Dr. Danny Simms (Willa Fitzgerald) receives a promotion after Chief Resident Dr. Xander Phillips (Colin Woodell) is suspended. The new trailer is full of romance and life-or-death stakes as it follows the group of doctors dealing with extreme situations.
Nat Geo's first look at Oklahoma City Bombing: One Day in America
The award-winning One Day in America series is taking on its next subject, the Oklahoma City Bombing from April 19, 1995. The three-part series will commemorate the tragedy's 30-year anniversary when it premieres April 2 on National Geographic (streaming next day on Disney+ and Hulu). The docuseries relives the bombing moment-by-moment, and it will depict "extraordinary stories of survival, heroic rescue efforts, the nationwide search that followed, and a city’s need for justice and healing after the tragedy," says the network.
Camille Rutherford takes center stage in Jane Austen Wrecked My Life trailer
The French romantic comedy Jane Austen Wrecked My Life from Sony Pictures Classics has unveiled its trailer. Camille Rutherford stars as Agathe, a charming (yet clumsy) book store employee at Shakespeare & Co. in Paris. She's obsessed with Jane Austen's novels, and aspires to one day become a successful writer of her own, only she's got a nasty case of writer's block. Other cast members include Pablo Pauly, Charlie Anson, and Annabelle Lengronne, and it's written and directed by Laura Piani.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail returns to theaters
Shout! Studios and Fathom Entertainment are bringing a film classic back to movie theaters. John Cleese's 1975 comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail is returning to the big screen on Sunday, May 4 and Wednesday May 7, to help celebrate its 50th anniversary. Upon its original release, Monty Python became the highest box-office hit of any British film inside the U.S. The plot essentially tells the legend of King Arthur (Graham Chapman), along with his squire (Terry Gilliam) and his various Knights of the Round Table, only with several comedic twists along the way.
