Tina, 'SIX' and 'Mockingbird': What to know about remaining Broadway shows at Artis―Naples
The Artis―Naples Broadway season is in full swing, with three more touring productions arriving in town over the next three months.
"Funny Girl" kicked off the series last month, and "Company" wrapped up earlier this week.
Here's what to know about the remaining shows.
'Tina: The Tina Turner Musical'
"The Tina Turner Musical" from Feb. 20-25 will bring the full energy of the "Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll," who grew up in Nutbush, Tennessee, growing up to become a music icon.
Turner, who died in 2023, won 12 Grammy Awards and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, with Ike Turner in 1991 and as a solo artist in 2021.
All shows of the musical, which was written by Pulitzer Prize winner Katori Hall and directed by Phyllida Lloyd, are sold out.
'SIX'
"SIX" is a musical telling the story from Tudor Queens to Pop Icons. It's about the sixwives of Henry VIII, offering "a remix of 500 years of historical heartbreak into a Euphoric Celebration of 21st-century girl power!" the theater said in describing the show.
"SIX" won 23 awards in the 2021-22 Broadway season, including the Tony Award for Best Original Score (Music and Lyrics) and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical.
Show are March 19-24, with tickets remaining.
Harper Lee's 'To Kill A Mockingbird'
Emmy Award-winning actor Richard Thomas (John Boy on '70s show "The Waltons") plays Atticus Finch in the national tour of this Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterwork. Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher directs.
Plan ahead: Jim Croce songs endure decades later, thanks to son A.J.
