That Time Woody Harrelson Had Dinner With Donald Trump and Jesse Ventura (Video)
Woody Harrelson, retired pro wrestler Jesse Ventura and Donald Trump (when the White House was just a twinkle in his eye) walked into a restaurant — it sounds like the making of a very bad joke but the “LBJ” actor said it really happened in 2002.
On Friday night’s “Real Time,” Harrelson told the show’s host, Bill Maher,” that in 2002, Ventura extended an invitation to join him for dinner with Trump. “He said, ‘Would you come with me? Trump’s gonna try to get me to be his running mate on the 2004 ticket,'” Harrelson said, pointing out that it was the Democratic ticket.
“I went and it was brutal,” Harrelson said with a grin. “I never met a more narcissistic man. He talked about himself the whole time. You could see the standard he was going to bear.”

But, Harrelson found a way to make it through the night: “I had to walk out halfway through to smoke a joint to just steel myself.”
