Bruce Springsteen Endorsed Harris/Walz, And Tim Walz Responded Like A True Midwest Dad
A ton of celebrities have endorsed Kamala Harris (not least of whom include Taylor Swift) since her run for POTUS began. One of the latest is none other than The Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen.
Springsteen shared his endorsement in an Instagram video: "With full knowledge that my opinion is no more important than those of my fellow citizens...I'm supporting Kamala Harris for President and Tim Walz for Vice President."
Springsteen went on in the video to speak about the equality for all that he believes Harris and Walz represent, and noted that it was the kind of thing he's been writing in his songs for decades. "They want to grow our economy in a way that benefits all, not just the few — like me — on top," he said.
Now, Doug Emhoff — Kamala's husband, if you're out of the loop — grew up in New Jersey, so of course he was quick to jump in the comments. But the best thing is that the first thing he did was tag Tim Walz.
"You seeing this?" he asked, tagging Tim in a comment.
When Tim managed to get on Instagram and see the video, the Midwest dad in him immediately came out:
Tim also left a comment thanking Bruce, and sharing that he's a lifelong fan (because of COURSE he is, what Midwest dad his age isn't?).
Of course, there are (former?) Springsteen fans in the comments expressing their disappointment...
But other fans are pointing out that a quick listen to The Boss's lyrics would communicate his endorsement pretty clearly.
(This is just proof that most people haven't actually listened to the lyrics to "Born in the U.S.A.")

Anyway, all of this is just proof that Everyone's Dad loves Bruce Springsteen.
