Tiger Woods confirms relationship with Vanessa Trump: 'Life is better with you by my side'

More than a week after Yahoo Entertainment confirmed Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump were dating, the couple confirmed their romance on Instagram. She is the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr.

"Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side!" Woods captioned two photos of himself and Vanessa on Instagram. "We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts."

Ivanka Trump was one of the many well-wishers in the comments section. "So happy for you both," she wrote.

Vanessa shared Woods's post to her Instagram Story on Sunday night.

One source previously told Yahoo the pair, who both live in Florida, have been quietly together for "a couple of months."

Reps for Woods and Vanessa did not immediately return Yahoo's request for comment.

Vanessa and Woods's new relationship is not out of the blue and they have a lot in common, the source said. Their kids reportedly attend the same school. Vanessa's eldest daughter, Kai, 17, and Woods's son, Charlie, 16, are amateur golfers. Woods and Charlie golfed with President Donald Trump in Palm Beach, Fla., last month. Woods has known the president for years and was honored at a Black History Month reception at the White House on Feb. 20.

The Daily Mail, which was first to report the relationship news, claimed Woods and Vanessa are not living together, but that she visits his house on Jupiter Island several evenings a week.

"They just love hanging out, having dinner and schmoozing together. They're sticking close to home, have decided not to make it a thing and go out in public. Not just yet anyway," one source alleged to the outlet.

People reported on March 13 that Don Jr. is "cool" with his ex-wife's new romance. She filed for divorce in 2018 after 12 years of marriage. Along with Kai, the two are parents to 16-year-old son Donald Trump III. Don Jr. is currently dating Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson.

There have been subtle clues that Woods and Vanessa Trump were more than friends. They were spotted arriving at a tournament in Florida together with Kai on Feb. 16, according to People. On Instagram, she has liked several of the golf legend's photos, dating back to at least November 2024.

Page Six cited sources who claim Vanessa and Woods are taking things slow.

"They have a lot in common. They’ve both gotten used to public scrutiny. They both know how to keep their private life private. They're both parents," one insider said. "They're a good match; they're level-headed, they like to avoid drama, they share a lot of the same values."

A source close to Vanessa added, "She’s not starstruck by him; she’d date him even if he weren’t famous. Fame doesn’t interest her; that’s what he likes best about her. … We'll see where it goes."
