Tichina Arnold Flatters Her Feet in Daring Black Mesh Heels at the NAACP Image Awards 2025
Tichina Arnold attended the 2025 NAACP Image Awards held tonight in Los Angeles.
The “Everybody Hates Chris” star flattered her feet in a pair of jet-black mesh sandal heels. The striking silhouette featured breathable mesh uppers that transitioned into open almond-shaped toes that offered a peekaboo effect. The shoe is a mixture between a bootie and a sandal, encompassing Arnold’s feet. Short stiletto heels rounded out the set, offering the thespian a subtle boost.

The “Martin” actress paired her daring mesh footwear with an equally head-turning hooded gown in shades of silver and black. The garment swept the floor and was crafted of a black sheer fabric dotted with sculptural silver appliques that were fixed to every inch of the gown, creating textural interest. Other features included a plunging neckline and a risque slit up the front. The form-fitted ensemble was accessorized with silver jewelry.
Hooded styles have become exceedingly popular over the last few years. The silhouette has been cropping up everywhere, however, its origins can be traced back to hallowed designers like Alaia and Saint Laurent.
The 2025 NAACP Image Awards is being held tonight at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Hosted by Deon Cole, the ceremony aims to celebrate outstanding performances by people of color in film, television, music, theater and literature throughout 2024.
The show features over 80 categories including “Outstanding Costume Design,” “Outstanding International Motion Picture” and “Outstanding New Artist.” Notable attendees at tonight’s show include Kerry Washington, Chloe Bailey, Shanola Hampton, Don Cheadle, Gabrielle Union, Keke Palmer, Laverne Cox and Taraji P. Henson, among others.
