'That's So Raven' Star Hints That She And Raven-Symoné Have 'Bad Blood'
One of Raven-Symoné's co-stars is playing into accusations that she and the Disney Channel star have "bad blood" and had a "falling out."
Raven-Symoné, whose full name is Raven-Symoné Christina Pearman, began her career after being cast in 'The Cosby Show' at the age of three. She portrayed Olivia Kendall, the step-granddaughter of Bill Cosby's character, from 1989 to 1992.
She went on to star in the sitcom 'Hangin' with Mr. Cooper' before landing her biggest role in the Disney Channel series 'That's So Raven,' which aired from 2003 to 2007. The actress played Raven Baxter, a teenager with psychic abilities.
The show was highly successful, and it led to a sequel series, 'Raven's Home,' which began in 2017.
'That's So Raven' And 'Raven's Home'
'Raven's Home,' which aired in 2017 following the success of 'That's So Raven,' follows Raven Baxter, played by Raven-Symoné, who is now a divorced mother of pre-teen twins Nia and Booker. The family lives in Chicago with Raven's best friend Chelsea Daniels, played by Anneliese van der Pol, and her son Levi.
Viewers watch Raven and Chelsea co-parent their children in the same household, dealing with the challenges of raising kids while navigating their personal lives.
Raven-Symoné and Anneliese van der Pol, who play best friends in both Disney shows, were also known to be good friends off-screen. However, something may have happened between them, as Anneliese posted a cryptic video on TikTok.
Anneliese van der Pol Responds To Claims Regarding Her Relationship With Raven-Symoné
The Disney Channel actress is known for sharing puzzling video clips on her social media profiles, hinting at what it was really like working for the network as a child star. While she has yet to give any specific details, perhaps due to an NDA, she has shared videos hinting that she was "fired" by Disney and that there was "racism" involved behind the screen.
Anneliese responded to a TikTok user's comment, which asked the actress if she was "no longer friends with Raven." The user also asked if there was any "bad blood" or "falling out" between them.
In response, Anneliese used a popular TikTok sound of Zendaya saying, "We're about to find out, honey. We just got started, so I'll let you know," seemingly hinting that she has details that she has yet to dish out.
Fans Are 'Annoyed' With Anneliese van der Pol
After seeing the videos, fans have seemingly had enough of Anneliese's teasing, as many users said her posts are "getting sad" and "getting old."
"Now it's just getting sad," one user expressed. "It was sad, like 300 TikTok’s ago," another responded.
A third pointed out, "I think the Titanic will arrive at its destination before we hear her story."
"At this point, we just need to ask @ravensymone because this is getting old," one TikTok user commented.
Some Fans Beg Anneliese van der Pol To Spill The Tea
Others, however, just want the tea. "Ma’am. We don’t have all year. TELL US NOW!" one user expressed.
"Please explain, we need answers!" another said as a third noted, "I mean, they’re still following each other on Instagram."
After the release of 'Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV,' an interview with the former Disney Channel star resurfaced. In it, she describes her experiences working for the network to viewers.
"When I went into audition, the show was called 'Absolutely Psychic'. It wasn't called 'That's So Raven'," Anneliese told Christy Carlson Romano, another former Disney actress, on the 'Vulnerable' podcast segment. "At the time, Raven [Symoné] wasn't the lead. She was the sidekick."
"They couldn't really see a black girl leading a show. They only saw her as a sidekick," she added. However, they changed their minds: "When they filmed [because] they realized that Raven was the funniest one and had a following, and so they bumped her up to first position."
Was Anneliese van der Pol Fired From Disney?
Anneliese's entire TikTok page is filled with videos of her, seemingly hinting that Disney once fired her. "You have massively f-cked me over. I will never think of you the same. Enjoy your bad karma. Rot in h-ll. Evil b-tch," the voiceover that she uses says while she mouths the words.
"Me emailing Disney after no one told me I was fired," she wrote over the video clip.
