Thandiwe Newton defends her land in neo-western 'God's Country' presented by CinemaSavannah
How far would you go to defend your land? For Thandiwe Newton's character in "God's Country," it comes with a moral struggle on top of a physical one.
The film, which also stars Jefferson White, Tanaya Beatty and Jeremy Bobb, follows a former police officer (Newton) turned professor in a rural college town that gets drawn into an escalating battle of wills that puts her most deeply held values to the test.
The film will be making its regional premiere for CinemaSavannah.
