Ted Danson selected for the Carol Burnett Award at the 2025 Golden Globes
Two-time Emmy winner Ted Danson has been selected to receive the Carol Burnett Award at the 2025 Golden Globes. This TV life achievement honor has previously been presented four times: to Carol Burnett herself, Ellen DeGeneres, Norman Lear, and Ryan Murphy.
The veteran actor has also won three Globes in his career, with two for his iconic role on “Cheers” and one for the TV movie “Something About Amelia.” His career has also included “Becker,” “Damages,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Fargo,” “The Good Place,” and his current Netflix series “A Man on the Inside.”

The 2025 Golden Globes ceremony will be hosted live by Nikki Glaser on Sunday, January 5, in Beverly Hills. It will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+. As previously announced, Viola Davis will receive the Cecil B. DeMille life achievement award for film.
