Taylor Swift Fans Suspect Her Mom’s Subtle Show of Support for Travis Kelce Has a Deeper Meaning
Fans were excited to see that Taylor Swift’s mom, Andrea, not only tagged along to cheer for her daughter’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, at the latest Kansas City Chiefs game—she also wore a subtle display of support for the couple while doing so.
The pop superstar first hinted at the relationship last September when she began attending Chiefs games. Swift and Kelce have now been dating for more than one year, and it has thrilled fans to see that their family members all seem to be on board for the relationship.
After arriving in style for the Chiefs’ first game of the 2024 NFL season earlier this month, Swift stunned again with her outfit choice when she arrived at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., on Sunday, Sept. 15, to attend the team’s second game. Andrea also attended, wearing a red ensemble that fans quickly compared to her daughter’s.
One small detail some fans pointed out on X received a round of applause online. According to a photo snapped of Andrea as she and Swift traveled by golf cart into the stadium, the proud mom sported a round pin on her red sweater that read, “In my 87 era.” The pin’s simultaneous nod to Swift’s hit international Eras Tour and Kelce’s jersey number caused many fans to melt.
“Mama Swift's pin game is strong!” one fan user cheered as they commented on a copy of the photo that a Swift fan account shared on X.

“Seriously so cute ??,” another fan gushed while one person noted, “well i think it’s safe to say she is a fan ????.”
Some Swifties suggested that Andrea’s subtle nod of support for Kelce indicated something deeper about her approval of the relationship.
“When the parents approve that partner that means one thing..??,” one person tweeted.
“THIS HAS NEVER BEEN MORE SERIOUS ?????,” another fan declared.
Though it’s unknown how many Chiefs games Swift and her family members plan to attend this season, the “Fortnight” songstress is currently on a two-month break from her tour, which is scheduled to resume in the U.S. in mid-October. She could, in theory, attend three more games before she goes back out on the road.
