Taylor Swift Fans Are Left With 'Chills' After Moment of Silence Washes Over Warsaw Eras Tour
When Taylor Swift fans crowded into a busy stadium in Warsaw, Poland on Aug. 1, many were stunned and impressed when everyone took part in a moment of silence in recognition of the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising against German occupation in World War II that began on Aug. 1, 1944.
Fans attending the show were warned ahead of time, as air raid sirens rang out at 5 p.m. local time, with a Polish news site Onet stating, "The entire city will stop for a moment and alarm sirens will sound. We ask you to remain calm and not to panic. In this way every year residents pay tribute to the heroes of 1944."
Swifties who experienced the moment of silence shared clips online, and the official Eras Tour X account posted, "At 5 p.m. everyone got up and there was such silence and then applause, chills guaranteed! Wow! #WarsawTSTheErasTour."

"I AM SO PROUD OF BEING POLISH AND BEING A PART OF SUCH A RESPECTFUL COMMUNITY," wrote a Polish Swiftie.
Another reacted to the video: "This is truly beautiful to see so many people that came from different countries respecting our history and being part of this tradition. Thank you all so much ????."
