Taylor Swift Surprised With Eras-Themed Party to Celebrate End of Tour
It’s been a big year for Taylor Swift, so it only makes sense that friends and family would want to celebrate her with an appropriately-large party.
Just days after wrapping the Eras Tour — which has assumed the throne of the highest-grossing tour of all time, by artists of any genre, and from any era in music history — Swift turned 35 on Friday (Dec. 13). She celebrated with some special events, including sharing a cache of behind-the-scenes videos, and taking out an additional 10 Billboard Music Awards, bringing her total to a massive 49. (She humbly called the 10 wins “the nicest early birthday present.”)

Birthday aside, there was still another tour celebration in store for Swift: a surprise party with boyfriend Travis Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs pals, inspired by the conclusion of The Eras Tour. Photos from the occasion, which was meant to commemorate Swift’s historic tour, started making their way online on Dec. 18.
An Instagram post from Brittany Mahomes showed the former soccer player decked out in an outfit that pays homage to Swift’s Fearless album, while her husband, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, sported a suit reminiscent of an “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” costume. (Kelce, who once played the part on tour in a cameo at one of Swift’s London shows, dressed similarly.)
Elsewhere, Lyndsay Bell (wife of the Chiefs’ Blake Bell) could be seen wearing an outfit apparently inspired by Swift’s Lover era, while Swift’s friend Ashley Avignone sported a snake around her neck in reference to Reputation. Swift’s longtime friends Alana, Danielle and Este Haim were also spotted in snapshots from the party.
Other photos from the event also show friendship bracelets on offer, heavily referring back to the same bracelets which became synonymous with Swift and her fans throughout the Eras Tour.
The end-of-tour celebration for Swift coincides with her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, topping the Billboard 200 for the 17th week this week (chart dated Dec. 21), bringing her career total of weeks spent at No. 1 to 86 — second only to The Beatles, at 130 weeks.
