Taraji P. Henson Takes Home Two Awards in Dazzling Rhinestone-Adorned Pumps at NAACP Image Awards 2025
Taraji P. Henson attended the 56th NAACP Image Awards held tonight in Pasadena, Calif.
The actress won in two categories, “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Television (Series, Special, Movie)” for “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist” and “Outstanding Literary Work – Children” for her book “You Can Be a Good Friend (No Matter What!): A Lil TJ Book.”

The “What Men Want” star took the stage accompanied by fellow actress Gabrielle Union in a pair of sparkling peep-toe heels. The footwear was extremely similar to Andrea Wazen’s 105mm Katy pumps in white. Henson’s heels included white slightly iridescent cloth uppers accompanied by high-shine rhinestoned trim in silver.
Peep-toes gave the shoe a breathable touch. Stiletto heels rounded out the set, working to elongate Henson’s silhouette. The high-shine adornments created visual and textural interest. Jimmy Choo, Max Mara, Steve Madden and Aquazzura all feature comparable styles to the thespian’s own.
Paired with her dazzling footwear, Henson sported a two-piece ensemble made of a shiny cream fabric. the suiting-inspired set included a fitted blazer and a high-waisted maxi skirt with a slit up the side.
On the footwear front, the “Hidden Figures” actress often favors Christian Louboutin for tall platform pumps. However, the star is also known to wear slingback heels, over-the-knee boots and strappy sandals from brands like Valentino, Jimmy Choo and Pedro Garcia.
The 2025 NAACP Image Awards is being held tonight at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Hosted by Deon Cole, the ceremony aims to celebrate outstanding performances by people of color in film, television, music, theater and literature throughout 2024.
The show features over 80 categories including “Outstanding Costume Design,” “Outstanding International Motion Picture” and “Outstanding New Artist.” Notable attendees at tonight’s show include Kerry Washington, Chloe Bailey, Shanola Hampton, Don Cheadle, Gabrielle Union, Keke Palmer, Laverne Cox and Taraji P. Henson, among others.
