Stephen Colbert Shows Hillary Clinton His Best Bill Clinton Impression
On the eve of the New York primaries, Hillary Clinton had lunch with The Late Show host Stephen Colbert at Carnegie Deli in Midtown. In the pre-taped segment, the late-night host asked the presidential candidate about the worst thing she has eaten on the campaign trail. Colbert playfully hinted that it had to have been something at one of the Iowa appearances, and while Clinton wouldn’t give a direct answer, she did praise Iowans’ ability to carry food on a stick.
Colbert noted that the former secretary of state was recently at Junior’s Deli in New York and bypassed its famous cheesecake. “It’s awkward eating in front of the press, ‘cause they could get a funny shot, it could drop out of your mouth, smear on your face,” Clinton confessed. So, Colbert took it upon himself to show Clinton how it can be done. “You want to use a fork, take a little off the top, and…” Then he grabbed the gigantic slice of cheesecake in his hand and stuffed the end of it in his mouth as Clinton laughed.
The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
