Stephen Colbert and adorable kitty weigh in on second presidential debate
Stephen Colbert couldn't take Columbus Day all the way off, not in the wake of the caustic second presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
Although The Late Show is airing a repeat episode Monday, Colbert felt the urge to weigh in on last night's showdown and did so in the form of a new six-minute monologue titled The Late Show's We're Not Working Post-Debate Spectacular: Home Edition.
Recorded in Colbert's home study and cohosted by an "adorable undecided kitty," the video is to air at the top of Monday evening's episode.
"So yesterday was the second presidential debate," Colbert quips in the monologue, "and like with all sequels, it left you wondering, 'Why do they keep making these?'"
He goes on to tackle Trump's incessant sniffling, Clinton's Westworld moment, and the unlikely stardom of undecided voter Ken Bone. Watch the video above.
