Stanley Tucci Puts His Cards on the Table in New Series for Allbirds
A brand new video series invites you to put your cards — and we mean all your cards — on the table with the legendary Stanley Tucci as host and executive producer. The four-part series curated by Allbirds, is created by OBB Pictures and Salt Productions, and published in partnership with Rolling Stone. Cards on the Table brings together twelve dynamic guests for intimate dinner parties that celebrate the power of curiosity, connection, and conversation — core values at the heart of the Allbirds brand.
The first episode of Cards on the Table, available to watch on Rolling Stone’s YouTube channel, features a warm conversation between a unique lineup of guests: television host and designer Tan France, Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz, and pop icon and Spice Girl Melanie C. They answered a series of questions, such as which fictional character they connect with most. Their responses were…surprising!

“We were immediately attracted to this idea of gathering an unlikely group of strangers for a sort of dream dinner party, where we skip the small talk and get straight into getting to know one another. The pitch from the OBB and Allbirds teams was clear: this isn’t an ad, this is an experience curated by Allbirds to celebrate the power of curiosity and human connection,” said Tucci and Salt Productions of the project. “It was so refreshing to connect meaningfully with people we admire, with the only goal of getting to know one another in a way we so rarely can these days.”
In Cards on the Table, each guest is invited to open up with conversational prompts curated by renowned clinical psychologist Dr. Orna Guralnik, host of Couples’ Therapy. The cards guide the evening’s dialogue through three metaphorical courses: light icebreakers for the appetizer, deeper reflections for the main course, and sweet, satisfying connections for dessert. Audiences can expect appearances (and confessions) by people like Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, comedian and actor Hasan Minhaj, GRAMMY award winning musician Laufey, actor and host Henry Golding, Green Michelin Star chef Chantelle Nicholson, physicist and professor Brian Cox, and more.
Tucci, an executive producer of the series through his company Salt Productions, brings his signature charm and insatiable curiosity to the host role. Each episode peels back the layers of the guests’ lives, revealing surprising commonalities and creating intimate moments of connection. Set in the idyllic English countryside, the relaxed environment reflects Allbirds’ commitment to natural materials and sustainable living.
Cards on the Table represents a seismic shift for Allbirds, tapping into the rising demand for immersive, meaningful content. As consumers increasingly seek out brands that share their values, the series underscores Allbirds’ dedication to curiosity, community, and authenticity.
“One of our core brand values is to Live Curiously, and we’re deeply inspired by people who embody that ethos–either with an inquisitive spirit, unconventional approaches to their work, or unique stories of success. We believe that curiosity is fundamental not just to forge new and better paths, but to forge authentic connection, and this content was created to encourage exactly that,” said Kelly Olmstead, Chief Marketing Officer, Allbirds. “We’ve gathered people who we feel best embody our values, in different but equally powerful ways–and the conversations that unfold reveal not only new sides of our guests, but of our brand.”
The series is a bold extension of Allbirds’ “Allbirds By Nature” platform, launched in August 2024 to explore both the natural world and human nature, developed in partnership with OBB, a multi-vertical production studio based in West Hollywood. OBB pitched Allbirds on a long-form recurring series — an approach they have had success with in the past with series like “Cold as Balls” with Kevin Hart and Old Spice, which is nearing its 100th episode.
“After meeting with the Allbirds team we knew we all wanted to create a series that’s brand-aligned, but first and foremost is something audiences actually want to watch,” said Elias Tanner, SVP Strategy & Growth at OBB. “The goal of this series is to create meaningful connections by bringing four strangers together and asking them to just be themselves. If you can combine that ethos, Orna’s insight, and Stanley’s unparalleled charm at the same table, you can give the audience engaging entertainment and the opportunity to experience what the brand values, instead of being told.”
Cards on the Table masterfully delivers on that vision, serving up authentic, unscripted dialogue between an unexpected mix of public figures from entertainment, science, cuisine, and sport.
Cards On The Table is executive produced by Michael D. Ratner, Scott Ratner, Elias Tanner, Lana Womack, and Leonor Castro of OBB Media; Stanley Tucci and Lottie Birmingham of SALT Productions; alongside Joe Vernachio, Kelly Olmstead, Adrian Nyman and Annie Vranizan of Allbirds. The series is showrun and executive produced by Kristen Wong, and directed by Bugsy Steel.
