‘The Soul Queen of New Orleans,’ Irma Thomas, performing with Rolling Stones at Jazz Fest

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Legendary Rock-n-Roll band The Rolling Stones will be performing at Jazz Fest to kick off the start of Week Two. Thursday on stage, “The Soul of Queen of New Orleans,” Irma Thomas will be performing with The Rolling Stones.

Thomas’ husband Emilie confirmed the news to WGNO that she’d be performing with the band Thursday on the Festival stage.

Thomas sang the hit song, “Time Is on My Side,” and The Rolling Stones covered it.

The Rolling Stones perform on the Festival Stage starting at 5 p.m.
