The Solids to perform music from ‘How I Met Your Mother’ in NYC
MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – The band behind the “How I Met Your Mother” theme song will perform music from the sitcom in a New York City concert that will also feature an appearance from actor Josh Radnor.
The Solids will perform music from “How I Met Your Mother” in concert at the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan on Jan. 11, 2025.
The Solids include Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, the creators of “How I Met Your Mother.” They used part of their song “Hey Beautiful” for the show’s opening theme.
The concert will also feature guest performances from Radnor, who played the show’s main character, Ted Mosby, other “How I Met Your Mother” stars, and musicians from the soundtrack.

Proceeds from the concert will go toward pediatric cardiology research at the Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego.
“Proceeds will benefit Dr. Paul Grossfeld’s pediatric cardiology lab at the Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego, which conducts groundbreaking research into the genetic origins of congenital heart disease,” a description of the event states.
“How I Met Your Mother” aired on CBS for nine seasons from 2005 to 2014.
