Snoop Dogg Reveals Where Kendrick Lamar’s Performance Ranks Among Super Bowl Halftime Headliners
Kendrick Lamar made the culture including Snoop Dogg proud with his Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.
The Doggystyle rapper took to Instagram with his live reaction of K. Dot’s performance. “Go ‘head, Dot!,” Snoop yelled at the television during the early moments of the performance.
“They comin’ out deep, red and blue. West Coast is the s**t, you hear me,” he quipped. When Kendrick declared, “The revolution boutta be televised. You picked the right time, but the wrong guy,” Snoop cackled affirmingly.
He then began rapping along to “squabble up” and expressed, “Get ’em nephew!” Snoop was pleased by the symbolism of the makeshift American flag. “That was gangsta! Get ’em Dot,” the Long Beach native shouted before adding, “He top three Super Bowl all-performers right now. He may be No. 1. If he do that record, he number one.”
Midway through the 13-minute set, Snoop proudly crowded Kendrick. “[He’s] the G.O.A.T. hands down,” he stated. “Leave him the f**k alone […] He’s too cold.”
When speaking on the show overall, Snoop expressed, “I love this s**t cuz,” and described it as the “greatest TV experience.”
The praise for Kendrick’s solo set comes three years after they both appeared as special guests for Dr. Dre’s Super Bowl Halftime Show.
It also followed Kung Fu Kenny calling out Snoop on GNX for seemingly siding with Drake during the height of their beef. However, the 53-year-old clarified on social media that he was Team Kendrick and the edibles had briefly taken over when fans assumed he sided with Drake.
