‘SNL50: The Anniversary Special’ red carpet: Stars come out to celebrate the landmark season of ‘Saturday Night Live’

Live from New York, it’s … Sunday night?!

Saturday Night Live held its SNL50: The Anniversary Special on Sunday, Feb. 16. The three-hour show aired live from Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center on NBC and Peacock (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT). News anchor Willie Geist and SNL alum Leslie Jones along with comedian correspondent Matt Rogers hosted SNL50: The Red Carpet prior to the big event. See photos above.

On Friday night, SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert kicked off the celebratory weekend. Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the concert extravaganza showcased iconic performances from Arcade Fire, Backstreet Boys, Bad Bunny, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Brittany Howard, Cher, Chris Martin, David Byrne, Devo, Eddie Vedder, Jack White, Jelly Roll, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Mumford & Sons, Post Malone, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Robyn, the B-52s, and the Roots.
