Smash Mouth fans rock out at Simply Freedom Fest in Simpsonville, see the concert photos
At the Simply Freedom Fest, attendees began the festival on Sunday drenched in sweat and left soaked in rain.
The crowd weathered the storm to rock out to their favorite hits with Smash Mouth, headliner at the CCNB Amphitheater in Simpsonville. The band played their new song, "Ride On," along with smash hits "All-Star," "Walking on the Sun," and "I'm a Believer" from the "Shrek" soundtrack.
"I absolutely love Smash Mouth. They remind me of my childhood so much. They were the greatest band," said Crystal Elam, 34, of Pelzer. "It's so amazing that Simpsonville is able to do this and the fact that it's a free concert it just drew me in even more."
This free festival featured music from DJ Sha, who had the crowd grooving to classic hits like "Sweet Caroline," and for Taylor Swift lovers, "Love Story," and country singer Gyth Rigdon. Rigdon was a runner-up contestant on NBC's "The Voice" in season 16.
The festival ended with an impressive fireworks display lighting the sky over the amphitheater.
