Sinead O’Connor, the Irish singer-songwriter who rose to massive fame in 1990 after recording the Prince-penned ballad “Nothing Compares 2 U,” has finally spoken out about Prince since his death on April 21 – in a shocking Facebook message that claims Arsenio Hall supplied Prince with drugs and even dosed her with drugs himself.
“Two words for the DEA investigating where prince got his drugs over the decades…. Arsenio Hall (AKA Prince’s and Eddie Murphy’s bitch),” O’Connor’s Monday afternoon post begins. “Anyone imagining prince was not a long time hard drug user is living in cloud cuckoo land. Arsenio I’ve reported you to the Carver County Sherrif’s office. Expect their call. They are aware you spiked me years ago at Eddie murphy’s house. You best get tidying your man cave.”

This is not the first time O’Connor has made shocking allegations regarding Prince. In a 2014 interview with Norwegian television station NRK, she said she had been involved in a violent physical altercation, or “punch-up,” at Prince’s home, and that Prince struck her.
“We didn’t get along at all. In fact, we had a punch-up,” she recalled. “He summoned me to his house, and he’s very foolish to do this with an Irish woman… He told me he didn’t like me saying bad words in my interviews, so I told him to f— off… He got quite violent. I actually had to escape out of his house at like 5 o’clock in the morning. He really packed a punch. Bigger than mine.” O’Connor concluded this story by saying she was able to outrun Prince, “because my father was a sprinter, and Prince had on the boots.”
Also in 2014, Yahoo Music’s Craig Rosen interviewed O’Connor, who was releasing her 10th album, I’m Not Bossy, I’m the Boss, at the time. When asked how she felt about Prince, O’Connor was less forthcoming, quickly answering, “I don’t feel anything. He’s not part of my psyche.”
A representative for Arsenio Hall told TMZ that O’Connor’s claim is “absolutely false, ridiculous, and absurd.” The comedian and talk show host has yet to directly address O’Connor’s accusations himself, but he did speak to Access Hollywood Monday and said, “I was aware of hip pain that [Prince] had. And I remember, you know it’s interesting, Prince would have the cane, but I feel like the cane preceded the pain. I think the cane was kind of swaggy before the pain kicked in… There was a point where he was having some pain, but I never talked about that kind of thing… you know, guys don’t [say], ‘Yo, how your hip, man?’ Guys don’t have those conversations. But I’m really gonna miss him, I’m playing his music every day.“
