Simu Liu Released His New Single "Don't," And Now He Can Add Hunky Balladeer To His Résumé

We need to talk about Simu Liu for a hot second.

After the new trailer for Barbie dropped, I became excited again for the Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings star to grace my screen.

The 33-year-old actor (soon to be 34) will be featured as one of the many Kens in Greta Gerwig's latest film, and yes, we're very interested.

And now, I just learned that besides being a superhero and a handsome doll — Simu can sing!

On Friday, April 7, Simu released his first single, "Don't," and spoiler alert, it's a catchy ballad.

According to Simu, the new song is about "all the moments you feel utterly alone, isolated, heartbroken, and unlovable."

Now, it gets even better. In 2022, Simu hosted the Juno Awards and sang a rendition of Avril Lavigne's "Complicated," and it's hilariously adorable.

And this year, he returned to host the 2023 Juno Awards and didn't sing just one Avril Lavigne song, but a whole medley!
