Picture This centers on struggling photographer Pia (Ashley), who is told that she will find love over the course of her next five dates. Her family then tries to play matchmaker just as Pia’s ex, Charlie (Fiennes Tiffin), resurfaces in her life.
“I thought being independent meant being alone,” Ashley says in the trailer. “But taking photos made me realize the kind of life that I wanted to have.”
At one point in the footage, Fiennes Tiffin tells her, “I still think about you, Pia.” When she doesn’t address her own feelings, he adds, “You just drew that out of me. You’re not going to respond to it?”
Mohan helmed the movie from Nikita Lalwani’s script that is based on the 2024 Australian rom-com film Five Blind Dates. Ben Pugh and Erica Steinberg serve as producers for Picture This.
Ashley is known for her roles on the Netflix series Bridgerton and Sex Education. She appears alongside Brad Pitt and Damson Idris in the forthcoming racing film F1, for which a teaser trailer debuted during the Super Bowl pre-game programming.
Fiennes Tiffin’s credits include Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the After film series and the Guy Ritchie-directed 2024 movie The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
