Sia Gives ‘Survivor’ Finalist $100,000 for His Animal Rights Activism
Sia surprised one of the “Survivor” finalists at the show’s live finale on Wednesday, and gifted him $100,000 for his animal rights activism.
According to the Huffington Post, while Tai Trang, a 51-year-old gardener from San Francisco, was chatting with Jeff Probst on stage, they heard a voice coming from the audience. Turns out, “Chandelier” singer Sia wanted to say that she was a fan of Trang’s and his devotion to animals, and gave him $50,000 for himself and another $50,000 to give to the animal charity of his choice.
Trang made it into the final three of season 32, and during his stint on the show saved a chicken from slaughter, adopting it as his own and giving him the name Mark. Apparently, that melted Sia’s heart.
