How Will Tiffany Wallace Leave FBI?
The Season 6 finale of FBI gave Wallace closure for the storyline that had been set up throughout the season, a storyline that involved Special Agent Trevor Hobbs (Roshawn Franklin), who was killed while working undercover. Wallace blamed herself for Hobbs’ death and at one point even went rogue in pursuit of the man who killed him. But the team eventually caught up to that man, Hakim, with Wallace killing him in self-defense. That sets up three distinct possibilities for Wallace’s exit.
The first could be an investigation into Hakim’s death. The death seemed to be self-defense, with OA finding a gun on the terrorist. But perhaps Wallace’s history with Hakim and her pursuit of him could become a bigger deal in a subsequent investigation. And considering how much Hobbs’ death weighed in on Wallace for the entirety of Season 6, the prospect of an inquiry and possibly losing her job could be the breaking point for Wallace and the FBI. And no one would really blame her.

Another possibility would be Wallace needing to step away because she can’t let go of her guilt over Hobbs. Sometimes we feel like vengeance will be the thing that cures grief, but it is hardly ever so. Sure, Hakim is dead, but that won’t bring Hobbs back. That won’t make Wallace feel any less responsible for his death. Perhaps, without a goal in place, Wallace will realize that she has to take a step back and deal with that guilt and that she isn’t in a good place to be the agent she wants to be unless she goes and deals with all of that first. Mental health is important.
Or, perhaps, what Wallace needs is just a change of scenery. Wallace is great at what she does, so if she has an opportunity to start fresh somewhere else, why wouldn’t she take it and leave behind the baggage of her past mistakes? And even though fans wouldn’t see Wallace on screen again, they could always imagine her somewhere else, having adventures and being as good at what she does as she was on FBI. That feels like a more fitting end for Tiffany Wallace, and hopefully the road the show chooses instead of the more dramatic one.
Katherine Renee Kane’s Special Agent Tiffany Wallace joins a growing list of recent departures from the FBI franchise, including Damian Powell (played by Greg Hovanessian) and Scott Forrester (played by Luke Kleintank) from FBI: International; Jamie Kellett (played by Heida Reed) from FBI: International; and Kristin Gaines (played by Alexis Davalos) from FBI: Most Wanted. The shows, however, are still going strong, even with those departures, and are expected to premiere as a block on Thursday, October 15th.
