Sharon Osbourne weighs in on Grammy Awards controversy: 'Everybody knew it was rigged'
Sharon Osbourne is set to be a presenter at the upcoming Grammy Awards, but her recent comments might make things a little awkward.
On Thursday, Osbourne weighed in on recent allegations of sexual harassment and voting irregularities made by the chief executive officer of the Recording Academy of Arts & Sciences, Deborah Dugan (allegations the organization has denied, according to several news outlets)
The Talk co-host backed Dugan’s accusations of voting discrepancies, saying “everybody knew it was rigged.”
Dugan was suspended from her duties, she says, after voicing her concerns.
Osbourne further critiqued the organization, telling viewers that the Grammys are “run by middle-aged, white wannabes with no creative talent at all.”
She described the makeup of the board as both “power hungry” and “money hungry.”
“They obviously didn’t have great youths and they’re taking it out on everybody,” she added.
Viewers took to Twitter to weigh in on Osbourne’s comments, with some applauding her for bringing the voting issues to people’s attention.

But others said they weren’t shocked at the news that the awards might be rigged, and said this shouldn’t surprise so many people.
No surprise! #Grammys was and still is rigged

It’s no surprise that the Grammys are rigged. Their credibility and relevance has been on the decline for a long time but they’ve put the nails in the coffin with this case. If this is the Grammys then imagine the others?
