See the Texts That Led to Lisa Barlow Declaring She'd Be Whitney Rose's "Villain"
While we're only one episode into Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, the drama is already major for Lisa Barlow and Whitney Rose — and we have the receipts to show why.
During the September 18 premiere, the Vida Tequila founder threw a party and explained that she went back and forth on inviting Whitney because of something she said about her on a podcast.
"I'm inviting Whitney," Lisa ultimately decided. "I was kind of on the fence, because she did this podcast. She was rude about me, like, 'Lisa's the new villain.'"
Later, the women got into an argument at dinner ("I'll be your villain, bitch. Like, game on," said Lisa), which prompted Whitney to share exactly what Lisa texted her that she deemed villainous.
"You just weaponized my trauma against me," Whitney said. "In text messages, you said, 'Keep healing, Whit.'"

Screengrabs then showed that Whitney had replied to Lisa, writing, "You are not my storyline. I tried working it out with you. You showed me where to put you. Take care. See you Monday xoxo."
Lisa's then texted, "Keep healing" with two prayer hand and a heart emojis.
"I will. You Lisa PLEASE START," replied Whitney.
What did Whitney Rose say about Lisa Barlow on a podcast?
The podcast in question was The Viall Files, where Whitney said she'd never heard Lisa apologize without being dismissive in a February 2024 episode. "She doesn't care about anything else other than being right," Whitney said in a clip shown on RHOSLC. "Lisa's always been the villain!"
At her event, Lisa once again brought up the podcast, telling Whitney that they had to work some things out.
"So, Lisa, in your cheers outside you brought up the podcast thing. So what's going on? Like, I feel like you have a problem with me and a podcast," said Whitney during dinner. Lisa replied that yes, she did have a problem: "Your podcast was not about you, it was about me."

Why was Lisa Barlow mad at Angie Katsanevas on the RHOSLC Season 5 premiere?
Angie Katsanevas revealed that she was the one who told Whitney that Lisa was upset over the podcast. She, more specifically, said to Whitney, "I went on a little walk with Heather and Lisa, and Lisa went on to tell me that you did this podcast and called her a villain and were being negative about her."
