See early glimpse of His Dark Materials in first trailer

The first glimpse at the forthcoming adaptation of Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials has been unveiled.

Directed by Tom Hooper, the production is based on Philip Pullman’s beloved book trilogy, featuring Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass.Jack Thorne penned the script for the adaptation.

The big budget series stars Dafne Keen, James McAvoy, Ruth Wilson, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

In September, it was announced that the show, which is produced by BBC and HBO, has already been renewed for a second season.

His Dark Materials will debut on both networks later this year.
