Sean Baker’s ‘Anora’ Sets Streaming Date On Hulu
Sean Baker’s Best Picture Oscar winner Anora will be available to stream on Hulu starting March 17. The streamer’s official Instagram account posted the news Monday.
The film took home the most trophies last night from the 97th Oscars at the Dolby Theater, with Mikey Madison winning Best Actress for her titular role and Baker winning three other Oscars — for Director, Film Editing and Original Screenplay. Baker tied Walt Disney’s previous record for the most Oscars won by one person in a single night.

Anora distributor Neon has a deal with Hulu, which also has Searchlight’s A Real Pain, the Jesse Eisenberg move that won Kieran Culkin the Best Supporting Actor Oscar.
Anora originally landed in theaters October 18 after it premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Palme d’Or. It it the second film to win both Cannes and the Oscar for Neon after 2019’s Parasite from Bong Joon Ho.
Anora won one more Oscar than its Neon Palme d’Or predecessor, which took home four Oscars for Best Picture, Director, Screenplay and International Feature Film. Bong’s next film Mickey 17 arrives in theaters Friday.
After winning the prize for Best Directing, which was presented by Quentin Tarantino, Baker thanked the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood director for casting Madison in his film because that’s what led Baker to seek her out for Anora.
Anora stars Madison as Ani, a young sex worker from Brooklyn whose Cinderella story starts when she meets and quickly weds the son of a Russian oligarch after a week with him in Las Vegas. Once the news reaches Russia, though, her fairytale ending is threatened as her husband’s parents set out to annul the marriage.
