SEAL Team Hits Nielsen Streaming Top 10 for First Time, With Final-Season Debut
With the double-episode premiere of its final season, SEAL Team finally breached Nielsen’s U.S. ranking of streaming originals.
For the week of Aug. 12, the Paramount+ military drama racked up 309 million minutes viewed across 107 available episodes, which was good enough for the No. 9 spot on Nielsen’s ranking of originals.

Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy stayed atop the originals chart for a second straight week, with 1.4 billion minutes viewed across 36 total episodes. It was followed by Netflix’s American Murder: Laci Peterson (877 million minutes viewed/three episodes), Netflix’s Emily in Paris (792 million minutes viewed), Netflix’s Love Is Blind: UK (523 million minutes) and Love Island (404 million minutes across Hulu, Netflix and Peacock).
Rounding out the Top 10 originals for the week of Aug. 12 were Prime Video’s The Boys, Hulu’s Futurama, Evil on Paramount+ and Netflix, SEAL Team, and Netflix’s Blue Ribbon Baking Championship.
Over on Nielsen’s overall streaming ranking, Prison Break again dominated with 1.6 billion minutes viewed across Hulu and Netflix, while Fire Country leapt three spots to No. 4, with 1.2 billion minutes viewed on Paramount+ and Netflix.
