The Script Singer Has ‘So Much More Respect’ for Pink After Trying Her ‘Effortless’ Stage Trick Himself
While most people are aware of Pink's vocal prowess, a lot of people don't know how much effort the singer puts into her stage shows, with an aerial rig being a key feature of her tour.
Even Danny O'Donoghue, the frontman of the band The Script, didn't seem to fully grasp the difficulty until he tried the rig for himself, with a new video showing the singer admitting that he has "so much more respect" for Pink after experiencing it firsthand.
Pink shared the sweet moment on Instagram, writing, "Danny’s been dreaming of taking my aerial rig for a spin, and you know I’m in the business of making dreams come true ?????♀?." The Script has performed with Pink on various stops during her tour.
In the video, Pink brought Danny on stage to gear up and fly around like she does in the show. Before he even got in the air, Danny admitted that Pink's act is "incredibly impressive," with Pink adding, "See? Everyone thinks what I do is easy."
Danny was then lifted in the air and jetted all around the venue, even doing a few flips. Once he was back on the ground, he said to Pink. "I've got so much more respect for you now that I've actually tried to do it. Can you feel? I'm shaking."
As for Pink, she also shared a bit more about the aerial rig and why she uses it in her show, saying, "People just don't understand how much fun it is... It's good. My body is a little upset with me, but..."
Fans were equally impressed by Pink's efforts, with comments like, "#Nobody thinks it’s easy, you make it look effortless!" and "I can’t even sing your songs while riding the bike without getting out of breath, so I have to just mouth it. You’re amazing ??."
"She has a magic that people love. Her voice enchants people's hearts, that's the cool singer Pink!!! ??????????," wrote a third person.
Pink is currently performing around North America for her 2024 Summer Carnival tour, which is set to conclude in November.
