The actress, who once again portrays Catherine de’ Medici in the Starz series, talks about how the current political state in the United States and the United Kingdom compare to that of The Serpent Queen’s 16th century narrative. She also touches on the depths of her character, as well as how it differs from her previous role of Alpha in The Walking Dead.
Elsewhere, Morton describes her interest in music and how her early collaborations with producer Nightmare on Wax eventually led to her debut album, Daffodils & Dirt. Diving into the project, she discusses the record’s autobiographical narrative, her love of wall-of-sound production, and working with UB40’s Ali Campbell.
