Salma Hayek's 'Birthday Bikini' Snapshots Are a Reminder of How Celebratory Turning 58 Really Is
Salma Hayek ushered in her 58th birthday in style on Monday, Sept. 2, and she’s sharing why her carousel of bikini photos was so important to her. The Magic Mike’s Last Dance star wants to show why every age of life is worth celebrating!
Hayek kicked off her big day with an important caption to accompany the sizzling photos. “Birthday bikini dump, happy 58th birthday to me! ??????P.s none of these are throwbacks,” she wrote in both English and Spanish. (You can see the photos here.) She looked fit, happy, and absolutely glowing! The snapshots were from her summer yachting trip in Spain and were artfully taken all over the boat. Her gorgeous curves were on full display and Hayek looked like she didn’t have a care in the world — 58 is fabulous!

She isn’t hiding her age, and she’s not hiding her gray hair either. A post ahead of her 58th birthday showed off her dazzling grays. “Yellow bikini + White hair = perfect combination,” she wrote. Hayek feels like she’s in the prime of her life, and she expressed that sentiment to Glamour in February 2023. “I thought getting older meant I wasn’t going to work; I’m working,” she explained. “I thought getting older maybe meant that you’re not in love anymore; I’m in love. I don’t feel that I lost my flexibility or my agility or even my strength. I do have to say that I have found it beautiful, getting older with someone.”
Hayek is just one of the Hollywood actresses who are shedding light on aging in your 50s and 60s — and they are proud of it. “You can kick ass at any age. You can hold your own at any age, you can dream at any age, you can be romantic at any age. We have the right to be loved for who we are at the place that we are,” Hayek told Today in 2021. The louder the voices are, the more societal norms, especially for women, can fall by the wayside.
So, run around in that bikini or show off those silvery grays. Hayek is leading the way on what it means to thrive in this season of life!
