Ryan Murphy’s Grotesquerie: Full Trailer Reveals First Look at Travis Kelce’s Mystery Role

We may not be getting a new installment of American Horror Story this fall, but Ryan Murphy is keeping the spirit of spooky season alive with FX’s Grotesquerie (Sept. 25, 10/9c), a chilling supernatural tale of murder, mystery and… Travis Kelce?

The NFL superstar-turned-actor recorded a special introduction for Grotesquerie‘s official trailer, which also offers a first look at Mr. Taylor Swift’s first series-regular acting role.

Niecy Nash-Betts leads the 10-episode season as Detective Lois Tryon, whom we meet in the midst of an investigation into a string of heinous crimes in her small town. What’s more, the crimes are starting to feel “eerily personal, as if someone — or something — is taunting her,” according to FX’s official logline.

In addition to her haunting investigations, Lois also struggles with her husband Marshall (Courtney B. Vance), who is in long-term hospital care, and her daughter Merritt (Raven Goodwin), with whom she has a strained relationship.

Lois teams up with Sister Megan (Michaela Diamond), a nun and reporter for the Catholic Guardian, who has “seen the worst of humanity, yet she still believes in its capacity for good.” She makes for an interesting partner to Lois, who “fears the world is succumbing to evil. As Lois and Sister Megan string together clues, they find themselves ensnared in a sinister web that only seems to raise more questions than answers.”

Grotesquerie also stars Lesley Manville as Nurse Redd, Nicholas Alexander Chavez as Father Charlie Mayhew, and Kelce in a still-undisclosed role.
