Now, Sara Gilbert, who plays Kenney’s mom on the hit show, is showing support for her TV daughter. “I am so proud of you,” the host of The Talk said on her daytime talk show today. “We all have demons, and it takes a lot of courage to face them, particularly at 18. I envy you. If I could go back to being 18 and start things to better myself at the pace you’re doing, I would be a better person today.”
Gilbert also said that she “commends” and “loves [Kenney] … [and] knows that [she] will come out the other side.” The 43-year-old believes that Kenney is “setting a great example for people.” Eve, a co-host of The Talk, spoke to Kenney’s honesty and courage about seeking treatment. She said that “this is amazing, it is a beautiful, beautiful thing.”
